Dirk Schenck
Dirk has been a licensed fishing guide since 2006. His love for water started in Pennsylvania, where he spent much of his youth exploring some of the state's best whitewater. That passion led him to work as a river guide in both the U.S. and Europe. Soon his fascination with water had him fly fishing and ultimately guiding, back in Pennsylvania, home to some of America's finest spring creeks and freestone trout streams.

Since moving to Montana over a decade ago, Dirk has concentrated his fishing on the headwaters and streams of Paradise Valley and Yellowstone National Park. He is keen to help those wishing to fish these amazing waters. In addition to guiding, Dirk instructed at our east coast fly fishing school for many years. He now spearheads our Montana fly fishing school programs and guides in Yellowstone National Park.

Dirk studied psychology and counseling at Johns Hopkins and Harvard Universities but readily admits that trout sometimes outsmart him. The balance of his time is spent snowboarding, skiing, trail riding, and whitewater kayaking. He lives in Livingston, Montana.
